The Seattle Times Newspapers In Education Program supports K — College grade level education by providing electronic newspapers and newspaper-based curricula to classrooms.
Our electronic edition of the newspaper is available statewide. Curricula programs are categorized into the following disciplines: Literacy, Journalism, Current Events, Science, Life Skills and Other. Most curricula have been matched to the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements. In addition, we partner with local organizations such as the Washington Coalition for Open Government, The League of Women Voters, Seeds of Compassion, Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), the Seattle Aquarium and many more, to design creative, fun and educational programs to use with the newspaper.
Throughout the year a number of relevant, real-world learning opportunities are presented in our educational programs. Click here to register today.
